interiors with a history.

some beautiful, inspiring images of an amazing space you can stay at while visiting new orleans. i'm adding race and religious to my ever-growing list of boutique hotels around the world for sure!

working away...

ooh, secret projects to be revealed soon...

up the coast.

here are a random spattering of (iphone) images of what we saw and did over the long weekend. 'twas a good one...

a pillow that i'd like to make with all of my new lush velvet:
incredible paper art:
cool dude in bellingen, NSW:
 gnarly cacti!

vine picked passionfruit and ice cream for dessert:
and on the drive home, check out what this person did to their muffler...it's hard to see, but they have been panel-beaten into the shape of hearts :)

p.s.

i would love, love, love for people to comment on anything and everything on here! i'd really like to know who is checking out my blog (and then i can check yours out too) and what you all think.

merci beaucoup mes amis x

part of the club.

for a long while i so badly wanted a floral bathing cap to wear while practicing my swimming stroke at the bondi icebergs. one of the last times i was there actually, i stopped this older (much, much older) woman who looked like a cute little cupcake in her peach one and asked her where she got it. it was pretty funny because when my bf got out of pool from swimming laps the first thing he said to me was 'you're in big trouble...'.  'why?'. 'because i saw you talking to that grandma about her bathing cap'.  ha!  i thought he was busy swimming the whole time! he always bugs me about my grandmotherly tendencies, but i openly love being one and i think he secretly likes it. it doesn't take much to make me happy! and now i am the proud owner of a lilac bathing cap and found the perfect place to debut it up the coast this weekend on the pond.

dear Stevie,

can it be 1978 and can we be friends?

while up the coast i finished reading Storms by Carol Ann Harris. the Nicks intrigue and obsession has reached new heights...and i love it. i now need a top hat and shawls, velvet everything and a tambourine :)

above all wild at heart

beachcombing.

we're back from a beautiful trip up the mid north coast of new south wales. amazing. we had gorgeous weather the whole time and did so many relaxing and cozy things. my mom's and my main goal was to collect some driftwood (which we found in droves) for a very special project and tons of other goodies along the shores of scott's head and shelly beach. i even got stung by a stingray between my toes two mornings ago, turning my foot into a big purple club in about two seconds flat...that was hardcore!
