the king's speech.

i watched this movie last night (or i should say 50 minutes of it until i fell asleep) and adored the interior of Geoffrey Rush's character's space. there aren't many great images of it empty online, but this one below does explain it beautifully...it's the age mottled walls that got me; the grand ceilings and skylights are pretty spectacular as well. there were also tons of turkish rugs strewn throughout the scenes, but only one is pictured here. it has inspired me to never stop purchasing potentially special rugs based on how many i already have, because i'm just going to start layering them!


and then during my selbyfest this morning, i found this similar image...mostly because i was greatly admiring that old pierrot pillow. swoon.
